Part 1
So cold… Where am I? Agh… I slumped to the ground, my whole body throbbing in pain. The rain poured down, making everything appear grey and depressing. I looked around wearily, barely having enough energy to do that simple movement. My usually long spiked hair hung down over my eyes, obscuring my vision. The alley seemed to be deserted, aside from some street slimes.
“Hey there.” I looked up to see two assassins approaching me. “I couldn’t help but notice that sword you have” I looked up at them. They were grinning widely, with a mischievous expression on their face. “It looks too good for a gutter boy like you to have bought. Wacha do, steal it?” I gripped my sword tighter, as one of them came closer to me.
“Ya know someone might take it if you don’t keep a close eye on it” the other thief drawled. I felt one of them grab the back of my shirt and pull me up to dangle me in the air, like a pathetic puppy. “How about we hold on to it for you?” He grabbed my sword and pulled it out of the sheath. “Hey, lookie here. It’s glowing purple. Awesome. This is gonna fetch a good price in the market”
“Hey what are you doing?” the thieves whirled around, stars in their hands. I looked and saw a girl standing in the alley, behind the thieves. She had pale blue hair that fell over one of her green eyes. She wore a yellow top with a green skirt; equips of a beginner magician. “No! Run away! They’re too strong for you!” I cried out to her. I thought I saw a smile flicker at the corner of her mouth, but then her mouth straightened into an unreadable expression.
“Oh look gutter boy, here comes your hero,” said the thief holding on to me “Too bad she’s a little weak to stand up to us” he dropped me to the ground, smiling, and started stalking toward the girl. She didn’t look scared at all, and pulled out her staff. The thieves froze in shock. The weapon she held was a Reverse weapon, the Reverse Aeas Hand! “S-s-s-so what if she’s got a strong weapon! Her level is too low to know how to use it!” said one bandit. “Get her!” They started dashing at a breakneck pace towards her.
She smiled and started waving the staff in quick rhythmic patterns, leaving traces of light where the staff went. She started chanting in a spell in a language I’ve never heard before, yet I understood completely.

Blessed Thunder,
Decend! Go forth!
Go forth, Ossyria,
The weak with the strong,
Let not your heroes
Fight alone.


The thieves rushed in to attack her. Before they even got close, however, she ended chanting the spell and shouted “GENESIS!” Bright light shot out of her outstretched staff, and rose into the air, creating a column of gold light into the grey clouds. Seconds later, countless beams of gold light shot down and struck the thieves. They screamed in pain, writhing on the ground. “Never underestimate a Bishop, idiots”.
The girl walked over to me. I stared at her. A Bishop! That means she’s hundreds of times stronger than me! She crouched down above me, and cupping her hands, she started muttering a spell.

Though fight may break your
Skin and bone
Let not these injuries
Restore alone

Between her palms, a green ball of light began to glow. Separating her palms, the green light spread out and was absorbed into my body. I watched my scrapes and bruises close and vanish, leaving me alert and revitalised. Why would she bother saving me, a weak swordsman?
“You’re wondering why I saved you” I stared at her in shock. How did she know that? Can she read minds? “Hahaha! Of course I can read minds!” she grinned, and then a pebble shot out and hit her in the head.
“Come on, Kimi, stop fooling around. Remember what we’re here for.” A voice drawled from the entrance to the alley “I gave you your moment of heroism, don’t get too carried away” A guy approached, casually carrying a giant sword shaped like a black wing over his shoulder. He wore a blue school uniform. “Just ‘cause you have the spirit of Zerachiel, doesn’t mean you’re officially a Bishop.” The girl stuck out her tongue at him and turned back to me.
“Yeah I can’t read minds, sorry. It just happens a lot” she explained. “My name is Kimi by the way. We were tracking a burst of spirit energy, which led us to you. ” I stared at her. Spirit energy? What’s that? “Those thieves were guild members from TheFallen. So I sealed David there and came to save you” she finished by smiling innocently at David. I thought for a moment. TheFallen? What guild is that? “TheFallen is a dark guild, the enemies of my guild and David’s.” She explained, reading my puzzled expression. Looking closely, I noticed that she wore a guild badge. It had the picture of a white wing outlined with silver on a sky blue background, and the word Celestia on it in gold thread. I got up slowly, noticing that there was no more pain in my legs.
I walked over to the bandits, who had fainted from the pain. I looked at their badges, and it was almost the same as Kimi’s and David’s but this time it was a black wing outlined in dark grey and the background was blood red. The words read TheFallen in gold.
Meanwhile, David and Kimi had started talking quietly to each other. “Are you positive? He looks too weak to have a SPIRIT” David muttered.
“Have I ever been wrong? He is the last archangel, destined to extinguish the dark guilds!” Kimi hissed at him. They’re talking about me, I realised. I glanced over at them. “You may have the angel of leadership, but mine is knowledge. I THINK I would know this better than you.” What is she talking about? Angels? What does she mean I am the last archangel? Angels don’t exist, right?
“Okay, okay! I believe you. Calm down.” David relented. Kimi smiled triumphantly at him and came over to me.
“Hey… umm… yeah I never got your name yet” she said, with a sheepish smile in her face. Behind her, David did a facepalm. I felt myself smile.
“My name is Jacob” I said.
“Well then Jacob,” Kimi said. “How about you join Celestia?” I didn’t even have to think about my answer.
“Sure” I said.
Part 2
“WERE BAAAaaaackkkkkkkkkkkkk <3” Kimi called out. David, Kimi and I had gone to Ellinia, where the base of Celestia was hidden in a special door inside of Grendel’s house. The second the door was opened, a figure tackle hugged Kimi so that they were flung back to the other side of Grendel’s house! When the dust cleared, a guy with bright orange hair and a white plaid scarf was hugging Kimi ferociously.
“OMGEE KIMIIIII I MISSED YUUUUU <3” he squealed. I noticed a blur next to me, where David was standing just a second ago. Then suddenly the new guy was flung across the room, apparently being kicked by David, who had appeared beside Kimi with his leg out.
“GET YOUR DIRTY HANDS OFF MY GIRL CHRIS” he yelled at the guy, who had landed in a pile of boxes. He sprang up and was about to attack David, but was suddenly pinned to the wall with a bunch of arrows.
“Gah you guys woke me up… stop making so much noise, will you?” a voice drawled from behind me. I looked back and saw another guy standing in the doorway, rubbing the sleep from his purple eyes. He had dark skin and wore a blue coat with one sleeve cut off. He wore a strange blue hat that looked like a dragons head over his orange spiky hair. He carried a crossbow shaped like a raven, much like David’s sword. “Come on Chris don’t get David mad every time they return. I hate using strife this early in the morning” he muttered.
“Cool it Tiag, it’s already past noon. You just sleep too much lazy butt” Two other figures emerged from the shadows behind the archer. Thieves. The taller one had orange-red hair with dark skin and wore all red. He held a deadly looking red dagger, and the other wore dark purple and black, and he had a purple claw. A blood dagger and a Reverse Lampion.
“Ok ok ok guys you’re scaring Jacob here” Kimi scolded. The guys stopped fighting and bickering, but continued to glare at eachother. Kimi sighed. “Sometimes I don’t know why I even bother” she whispered to me. I smiled. “Mmkay then, you already know David. He’s the guild leader and from the Hero class” he nodded and looked away with a distracted expression on his face. “And over there in the orange hair and the scarf is Chris, who is an Ice mage” he waves at me with a big grin on his face. “That lazy guy over there in the weird hat is Tiago our marksma-”
“HEY MY HAT IS NOT WEIRD!” exclaimed Tiago “IT’S THE LATEST TREND IN ARCHER CLOTHES!”
“Yeah yeah yeah okay sure Tiag.” Kimi said, waving her hand at him. “That guy in red is Alex. He’s a shadower and our strategist.” He nods and smiles, leaning on the other thief. “And finally, that guy in the purple is Elijah. He is a Night lord and our best spy” He says nothing in response to her introduction and pulls out his stars to polish them. “Elijahhh stop being so anti-social!” Kimi explains. He ignores her and continues polishing his deadly gigantic throwing stars. “Gah… Never expect any words out of him.” She said, giving up on him. I smiled.
“So who are you anyways?” I turned around. Elijah was staring at me. His eyes were startlingly bright red. I started to feel lost in the depths of his eyes. “Well?”
I snapped back to reality and noticed that everyone was looking at me“I-I-I’m Jacob, and I’m a swordsman…” I mumbled. I looked down and fingered mi sword. Something about his eyes made me unsettled, like he was looking right into my soul.
“Heyyy Jacob, welcome to Celestiaaa!” I turned and saw Chris running up to me, about to tackle hug me. Suddenly, David’s leg shot out and caught him in the chest. “You gotta stop doing that Chris. Remember when Elijah joined? Your chest got caved in and you were barely alive. Elijah refused to talk to you for a year. It took a whole day of healing for Kimi to get you back to full health.” I stared at Elijah. How strong IS he?
“David, stop that! My mana isn’t unlimited you know!” Kimi started healing Chris, who had gotten a bruise on his chest.
I smiled to myself. I felt that my life was going to be changed, forever.
Part 3
“Are we there yettttt?” Chris said, In a bored tone. We were going on the airship to Orbis, to get me initiated into the guild. It was a blistering hot day, and the boat takes 10 hours to get there, so we were trying to keep ourselves entertained. David and Tiago were taking a nap on the other side, and Chris was slumping on the edge of the ship, his arms dangling over. Elijah and Alex were off raiding the snack bar on the other side of the ship. I was watching the land pass by; I thought I saw the coral reef of Aqua road, but I wasn’t sure. Kimi had changed out of her beginner clothes, and now wore her elegant blue Requierre.
“What are archangels anyways?” I asked Kimi. “You kept mentioning it, but I still have no idea what they are, let alone how I even got one.”
“Well-“ Suddenly, Kimi was cut off by a big explosion noise and the ship started shaking violently. Elijah and Alex ran up to us.
“TheFallen have attacked the ship! It’s Cleon and Rayven!” Elijah yelled at us. I saw David’s eyes narrow.
“I’ll deal with Rayven. Elijah and Alex, you two go stop Cleon. Chris, Kimi, Tiago and Jacob, you’re backing me up.” David ordered.
“AYE!” Alex and Elijah disappeared, and the rest of us hurried to the mast of the boat. I couldn’t help but notice that with the explosion, dark clouds had suddenly appeared over the boat, raining and making the boards wet and slippery. There was a man standing there, dressed in black armour and a long black cape. In his hand, he held a long spear, with an elaborate blade. His back was towards us, but he started talking.
“Ahhhh there’s a nice breeze this high up. I wonder how long of a fall it is.” He drawled. He turned around. He had bright aquamarine coloured eyes, and his hair was black and spiky underneath his helmet. “I see you’ve found your last member. Which angel is he?”
“That’s none of your business!” David roared at him. “You’re fighting me!” He swung his sword at Rayven. There was a loud CLANG and boom as his Raven’s Wing clashed against Rayven’s spear, thunder booming in the background. They separated again, but this time, Rayven attacked first. In a blur of motion, Rayven appeared behind David and swung his spear. They swung back and forth, but it was clear after a while that Rayven was getting the upper hand.
I heard Kimi shouting a spell:


As we approach the sacred battlefield,
Let not our spirits tremble
Let our hearts become steel
Let our blade become swift,
Our movements deadly,
Let not our enemy
Land on us a blow.

She held up her staff and shouted “BLESS!” A bright pink light shot out of her staff, and into the air. It separated into 6 different beams. Two shot over to the far end of the boat, and the other 4 beams shot down towards us. We were enveloped in the warm light. I felt my senses getting sharper, my reactions quicker.
I looked over at David’s fight. He was slightly glowing pink from the spell, and now they were equally matched. Lightning continued to flash, and the rain came down in buckets. Soon, our hair was plastered to our faces, and our clothes were heavy and cold against our skin.
Rayven jumped back, and held up his hand. Thunder shot out from the cloud and struck his hand. When the light dissipated, a ball of black light was gathered in his palm, and he shouted “Lucifer! I summon thee!” The light left his palm, and started to form a shape behind of him. I watched, mystified, as the light solidified, and formed into the shape of a huge elf with bat wings, wearing all black. “Fuse! Black Pride Thundar!” the being turned back into the dark light, and was sucked into Rayven’s spear. The spear suddenly shone with a bright light, making me turn away and shade my eyes from the intense light. When I looked back, the spear had turned pitch black, and the blade had become shaped like a crescent moon.
“Fine! If that’s how you wanna play, let’s take it to the next level!” David extended his arm in front of him. A dark green light formed in his palm, and he shouted “Let’s go, Michael!” Behind him, the green light solidified into a being with full green armour and white angel wings. “Fuse! Earth Cloak!” The angel dissolved into a green light that covered David’s entire body. When the light solidified, he was wearing dark green armour, and his cloak has been transformed into white angel wings, tinged with green.
“That’s a spirit fight. Jacob” Chris said, with all signs of joking gone from his face. “Those things that appeared? They’re spirits. The one that Rayven has is Lucifer, and David’s one is Michael.” I looked back to the fight. The clangs of metal were accompanied by flashes of green and black lights. David clearly had the upper hand; literally. He was using his wings to fly around Rayven, putting him on the defensive. Rayven was whirling his spear faster than I could see, making a black blur around him.
“Each spirit has different abilities; mostly for transforming weapons and armours.” Tiago said, his tone nearing boredom. “TheFallen guild has demonic spirits, who represent the seven deadly sins.”
“On the other hand though, we from Celestia are blessed with seven Archangels. Each of us is able to control a different element” said Kimi, while refreshing her spell. “Our duty is to defeat TheFallen, and thus protect the world from their destructive rampages.” She looked at me. “Your spirit is Raguel, the angel of justice. “
“And my element?” I asked. What kind of powers do I have?
“I believe that you have the element of Spirit.” She explained. “You have to go through a special ritual to learn what it is, along with drawing out your spirit.” The clangs of metal stopped, and drew me back to the battle. David had dangled Rayven over the edge of the ship, with Rayven’s spear back to its original form.
“As you said yourself, I wonder how long of a fall it is.” He drawled, and casually let go of Rayven. “Oops, I dropped him.” We rushed to the side of the ship to watch him fall. When we looked, Rayven had disappeared! Above us suddenly hovered a black dragon, and riding on it were Rayven and another person dressed in a black robe with white eyes- Cleon.
“Damn Cleon, you’re late.” Rayven said, not looking at him. “I am sorry. The thieves were giving me a hard time.”
“You have given me an amusing battle, my dear Hero.” Rayven said, looking down at David “May we meet again”. The dragon gave a thunderous roar, and zoomed off towards Orbis.
Kimi ran up to David, who had fainted against the mast. His armour glowed, and dissolved into green light, which evaporated into the air. He was left wearing his blue uniform, which was drenched in sweat and blood. She gathered her magic and diffused it into his cuts, stopping the bleeding. “Can’t you heal him like you did to me?” I asked her.
“Heal doesn’t work against injuries against spirit weapons,” she said with a frown showing on her usually uncreased forehead. “All we can do is let him heal on his own.”
Part 4
We arrived in Orbis a few hours later. Alex and Elijah left to take David to the hospital, and the others disappeared with errands of their own. Kimi took me through the town, to get to the Guild Hall for my initiation.
The houses in Orbis all looked the same; small, with rounded cream-coloured walls, and wings sticking out from the sides. Some of them even had glowing rings around the top. Everything here looked airy and ethereal. The townspeople themselves were extraordinary. There was the occasional human and elf, but no matter where you looked, there was a majority of faeries. They were quite like the faeries in Ellinia, but these had feathered wings. Most of them ranged from 2 feet to 3 feet. Everything was so different from the dark alleys of Kerning City and the tall trees of Ellinia.
We arrived at an average-sized house, with multiple wings and a gold halo of light. It looked a lot like a Sephiroth. “Here we are” announced Kimi. She opened the door for me and I stepped in. I froze in shock. The inside of the house was HUGE! It was 3 floors up, open concept, with a huge spiral staircase in the center. It defied all common sense. “Amazing right?” Kimi said. “Here, there is no such thing as physics. Magic defies al l boundaries in Orbis.” Well that explains the house size.
“Ahh, hello there Kimiko” a man’s voice echoed from above. “How are you today?” I looked up. A faerie was sitting at a desk oh the 2nd floor. He was taller than most faeries, at about 4 feet.
“Hey Favian, how’s it going” she greeted him. We walked up the stairs, Kimi taking them two at a time. “Stop calling me Kimiko. That sounds so business-like.” She said when we reached his desk.
“So what brings you here, so out of season?” Favian asked her.
“Meet Celestia’s new recruit, Jacob.” She pushed me forward, and I stumbled over to his desk. Favian looked me over. I felt slightly embarrassed, in the presence of this faerie. He had hazel eyes with a tinge of green in them.
“So, he needs an initiation, huh.” Favian said. He stood up from his desk, and motioned us to follow him.
He led us up to the third floor, which held boxes with labels on them. He started muttering to himself while searching through the boxes. “Loveless... HolyEmbrace... x4everx... Enmity, BloodyRose... HeavyMetal... Kiwi... Poprocks... Green... Aha! Here’s Celestia!” He emerged with a box in his hands, which was rather small compared to the others. He opened it up and inside, there was a wooden block and a carving on one side. He held it up in his hand, and beckoned me over. “This is Celestia’s emblem. You get a tattoo on your back to show that you’re a part of them. “ I turned around and removed my robe.”
Favian gently pressed the wood against my shoulders, and my back was flooded with energy. I might have screamed once because of the pain, but then i gripped my teeth together and forced my mouth shut. After what felt like hours, he removed the wood from my back. The pain slowly receeded, and i gasped for breath.
“Congratulations” Kimi whispered into my ear “You’re now officially part of Celestia” I fainted.
